S.F.T.V. Each 30 minute show, is from an "ORIGINAL NEW WAVE MUSIC TV SERIES," filmed at the MABUHAY GARDENS and aired weekly from 1983 to 1989 on CH-25, PUBLIC ACCESS CABLE TV, FRIDAY'S at 8:30 PM in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY-AREA. (Also, on the East Coast, N.C.T.V. College Network on Jones Intercable.) Each half-hour S.F.T.V. Show is a HISTORICAL DOCUMENTATION of the "SAN FRANCISCO 80's ORIGINAL NEW WAVE MUSIC SCENE." ROLAND GRAND personally videotaped the ENTIRE SETS of "NEW WAVE ROCK BANDS" playing "ORIGINAL 80's MUSIC" (no covers.) MONICA WEST would interview each Band, then they were aired at "PRIME TIME" 8:30 PM, with STAROCK, on Viacom CABLE TV-25, to "HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS" of waiting S.F.T.V. viewers. STAROCK: Co-Hosted the 1979 and 1980 "EASTER SEALS TELETHON" in San Francisco on KRON TV-4. The band STAROCK donated their musical talent for the entire 24 hours, helping raise (locally) $383.725.00 for M.D.A. MUSCULAR DISTROPHY RESEARCH. In 1979-1980 STAROCK raised over ONE MILLION DOLLARS for local and national charities. In 1980 STAROCK received a CITATION OF MERIT from Jerry Lewis. |
